Edmund Fowles has authored an article discussing how the impact of carbon-rich technologies that launched the modernism and high-tech movements, now fuel climate change. Accordingly, a reset to sustainable, low-tech design is now imperative. Thanks to input from Structure Workshop, Skelly & Couch, Mae Architects and Practice Architecture. Feilden Fowles’ studio is net zero carbon
We are very proud to announce our studio has been verified as net zero carbon for operational energy under the UKGBC framework. Thank you to Max Fordham who undertook the verification assessment, and to our net zero working group who produced our in-house report. This is an important milestone towards our commitment to the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge targets. We are continuing this work with an embodied energy analysis we hope to share soon. For more information on how to become net zero, see the UKGBC resources available here.

A Practice for Everyday Life designs a new visual identity for Feilden Fowles featuring a bespoke typeface
We are delighted to launch our new visual identity designed by A Practice for Everyday Life, commissioned to encapsulate our approach to design, with a focus on materiality, detailing and craft. Central to the new identity is a bespoke typeface designed by the APFEL Type Foundry, in addition to a comprehensive set of templates, both digital and print, and update to our website.
