Feilden Fowles wins AIA UK Young Architect of the Year Award 2015

AIA_YoungArchitectFeilden Fowles has won the Young Architect of the Year Award in the American Institute of Architects (AIA) UK 2015 Excellence in Design Awards. Founding partners Fergus Feilden and Edmund Fowles collected the award at a ceremony at the Serpentine Sackler Gallery on Tuesday 28th April.

The AIA UK is the UK chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and the Excellence in Design Awards are presented annually to UK-based architects for projects in the UK and overseas. The Young Architect of the Year Award is in its inaugural year and celebrates high calibre buildings completed by an emerging generation of architects under the age of 40. The prize was awarded to Feilden Fowles for the Lee Centre at Ralph Allen School, Bath.

The Tuk Tuk opening

We’re delighted to announce the opening of a new Flower shop on Duke Street, Mayfair designed by Feilden Fowles. The Tuk Tuk is a unique flower studio occupying a narrow tiled ‘staircase to nowhere’ The light-touch refurbishment provides a flexible blank canvas to allow the client’s installations and flowers to take centre stage. Part III qualified Architect at Feilden Fowles Architects:

Feilden Fowles Architects are seeking a Part III qualified Architect with at least three years professional experience to join the practice.

Candidates should demonstrate the following skills:

· Exceptional design skills and confident at all design stages
· Experience of running jobs within an office through all RIBA stages
· Excellent drafting skills, with the ability to work efficiently in 3D and produce high quality images
· Competency in 2D Microstation is favoured
· Broad technical/ construction knowledge and detailing ability
· Experience managing a project on-site as Contract Administrator
· Clear, concise and articulate communicator
· Excellent organisational and time management skills, with experience of working well under pressure.
· Ready to work well as part of a small team, be proactive, show initiative and act autonomously
